Today, it is extremely important for us as a company to fulfill our social responsibility in order to remain a company that is widely trusted and respected by society. To this end, we believe that it is essential to address social issues such as health, food, education, environment/climate change, resources, disaster prevention, and gender equality, as well as to pursue economic aspects of our business. Through these efforts, we must actively contribute to the realization of a life that is rich in touch.

Among these corporate social responsibilities, the basis is that each of us must not only comply with laws and regulations, but also conduct our business activities in a manner that respects corporate ethics. In the course of our business activities, we must never engage in any conduct that violates laws, regulations, or corporate ethics. The trust and respect of society for the business activities of the TOPPAN Group will be firmly established when each of us acts with a high sense of ethics.

These behavioral guidelines are based on the Group Philosophy, "TOPPAN's Purpose & Values," and outline the way each of us should act to enable the TOPPAN Group to thrive as a company that creates social value. We will carefully read and understand these behavioral guidelines and act in accordance with them so that we can continue to be a company that is trusted and respected by society while creating social value.

Chapter 1 Basic Principles

  1. Respect human rights
    We shall respect human rights based on the concept of respect for humanity, uphold individual dignity in all situations, and shall not engage in any form of discrimination. We shall promote efforts to ensure that our business activities do not have any negative impact on human rights, and shall address any such impact that may arise. We will also encourage our business partners directly connected to our business and logistics services to respect human rights if they are involved in any negative impact on human rights.

Chapter 2 Specific Action Guidelines

Chapter 2 sets forth the specific actions we should take based on the basic principles in Chapter 1.

  4. Do not engage in behavior that is a nuisance to others
    We will not engage in behavior that is a nuisance to others, such as hurting, deceiving, or engaging in shameless behavior, even in our private lives. Basic Principle 3 To comply with laws, regulations and internal rules, and to conduct business in a fair manner

    We aim to improve the corporate value of both the TOPPAN Group and our business partners, and will work with our business partners to fulfill our social responsibilities throughout the supply chain, such as complying with laws and regulations, implementing information security measures, and considering the environment and human rights.
